Jared Erfle is the broker of record for Select Service Realty based in Palmdale, CA. Along with his wife, Victoria Erfle, he created Select Service Realty in 2008 at the height of the financial crisis.
Technology, marketing and advertising first attracted Jared to the real estate industry in the early 2000s. His wife entered the business and found early success in residential real estate, and Jared was a high school teacher. Jared supported his wife's business by writing marketing copy, building websites and managing her advertisement. The marketing conferences are what caused Jared to fall in love with real estate.
Small classified ads in the local newspaper was the start of advertising in real estate, but the reach was limited to paper circulation. As the business grew, advertising moved to glossy real estate magazines, and Jared and Victoria even had a their picture plastered all over shopping carts at the local supermarkets. Reflecting on this marketing move, Jared looks back on this as a waste of money. Craigslist was a great advertising opportunity because it was free. However the day came when Craigslist did not allow hyperlinks to website and the advertising value was killed instantly. While these are just a few examples of real estate advertising in the early part of this century, none can compare to the opportunity Facebook offers the real estate industry.
After running his first Facebook ad in 2014, Jared immediately understood the potential of Facebook advertising. Over the years, Jared has refined his Facebook ads and ads strategy. Jared has developed proven audiences and ads that target buyers and sellers in his local market. Facebook has become the primary lead source for his real estate brokerage.

The low cost of Facebook leads is one of the key factors in the success of Facebook Leads. Jared enjoys sharing a story about a recent conversation with a Zillow sales rep. The sales rep was guaranteeing 20 leads a month in Jared's market for $600. "In the back of my mind, I was thinking about the fact that I would generate 20 leads in the next 24 hours for $100." Facebook represents an outstanding advertising value for real estate professionals.
Jared Erfle was interviewed for a story in the Orange County Register in the Spring of 2020 as the real estate industry dealt with the initial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
